School Uniform

School uniform at Westfield consists of:

  • Tops: white
    • Polo shirt
    • Blouse
  • Bottoms: dark grey or black
    • Trousers
    • Shorts or skirt (must be at or around knee length, no more than 5cms above the knee)
  • Outer layer: dark green
    • Sweatshirt
    • Fleece
    • Cardigan
  • Footwear: black
    • Shoes
    • Trainers (all black, soles and logo included)
    • Socks (black/grey/white)
  • Dresses:
    • Optional in Summer
    • Green/yellow and white checked or striped

Uniform for PE

Children can come into school in their PE kits on their PE days.

  • Plimsolls/trainers
  • White T-shirt
  • Black shorts/joggers

Uniform Accessories

  • Watches are permitted in school but must be removed for PE lessons. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.
  • Children should not wear jewellery for safety reasons. The only exceptions are small plain stud earrings.
  • Coloured nail varnish and makeup is unsuitable for school.
  • Long hair should always be tied back in a ponytail or plait for reasons of hygiene. Long hair should always be away from the child’s eyes enabling them to fully access all parts of the curriculum.
  • Dyed and/or bleached hair is unsuitable for school.
Please ensure ALL items of uniform are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Sweatshirts, fleeces and polo shirts with the school badge on are available to buy from SuperStitch 86. You can order via their online shop or call them on 01424 852225.

You can also purchase plain dark green jumpers and cardigans from most supermarkets.

School book bags can be bought directly from school, you can purchase them via the School Shop on your Arbor Parent Portal/App. You can then collect them from the school office.

Our PTA also have a variety of pre-loved uniform that is available to buy. You can contact them via their Facebook page or by contacting the school office.

Please note, only school book bags are permitted to be bought in by the children until they reach Year 5. This is because there is limited storage space in cloak rooms and bringing in larger bags means the children are unable to fit all the items on their pegs and they cause trip hazards. Children in Year 5 and 6 are allowed to bring in different bags to enable them to develop their organisational skills in readiness for the move to secondary school.

    We do reserve the right to forbid items of clothing and/or accessories which are deemed to be unacceptably dangerous in school or that may interfere with learning in class.
