3 Our Environment

In the summer term we study ‘Our Environment’.

As our ‘Wow’ Year 5 visited Mallydams Wood. We learned about animal habitats and the life cycles of the animals that live there. We really enjoyed finding out how recycling can help protect animals.

Our work on life cycles leads onto plants, animals and finally…humans. At this point children have their ‘Sex and Relationships’ education.

‘Our Environment’ moves on to look at “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and we write persuasive leaflets aimed at encouraging people to minimise waste.

We look at changes to our local environment and produce collages using materials we have discovered on our field.
