Christmas 2020 at Westfield

Whilst, this Christmas, things have been a little different to usual, we have still managed to do some Christmas activities with the children which we can share with you.

Reception have done a nativity which they have recorded for Reception parents. Hopefully, we’ll be able to share some snapshots once the full video has been edited.

Deck the halls

All classes have made Christmas decorations which have been hung on festive hoops in the corridors. Wandering through the school has truly felt like walking through a Christmas Wonderland.

The PTA arranged for all classes to watch an online Panto of Cinderella which children and staff alike thoroughly enjoyed.

The Reindeer Boogie

Year 2 have made a video of their reindeer drawings to share with everyone. Click the photo below to watch!

Christmas time is coming!

As Year 5 & 6 couldn’t perform their traditional carol concert to parents this year, we have taken their performance online! Thanks to Miss Mitchell for all her hard work in putting this wonderful concert together.

The leaning tree of Westfield

A huge thank you to Littledown Christmas Tree Farm for their kind donation of a Christmas Tree for our playground.

You will all be aware of the new reading program we started, Accelerated Reader. In KS1, children get a raffle ticket for reading 5 times a week. In KS2 children get a raffle ticket every time they pass a quiz after reading a book.

Raffle tickets have been collected over the term and today the draw was made!

10 children in total won prizes, 5 in KS1 and 5 in KS2.

A huge congratulations to Jessalyn in Year 5 and Charlie in Year 2 for winning an Amazon Kindle each!

Don’t worry if you didn’t win this time around! There will be another chance to win an Amazon Kindle at Easter!
